Potsdam fine dining restaurant closes in June

POTSDAM: Restaurant Villa Kellermann has announced that it will cease operations from 21 June. "After almost five years with many great moments, we regret this very much. We would have loved to continue, but coronavirus, a sharp rise in operating costs and a tense staffing situation meant we couldn't make any other decision," reads a social media post.

The restaurant had opened in 2019 as a partnership between Tim Raue and TV presenter and winery owner Günther Jauch, offering German-inspired cuisine. Christopher Wecker was the on-site chef from the outset and retained the position after the partnership with Tim Raue ended last year.
