Appreciation
JRE: The team is the star
This is how appreciation works: Jeunes Restaurateurs Germany organised a party for its employees for the first time this year to thank them for their loyalty and tireless commitment. Almost 200 employees from all over Germany accepted the invitation to the first JRE Team Day and travelled to Grünstadt in Rhineland-Palatinate on 10 June to celebrate together at the Felix Mayer winery. A colourful supporting programme with music, master classes and numerous food and drink stations awaited the participants.
At Jeunes Restaurateurs Germany, the team is the star. It's high time to show this to the outside world. And that is precisely why the association has now organised its first JRE Team Day at the Felix Mayer winery in the Northern Palatinate. "With this event, we want to celebrate our employees and thank them for their daily commitment. And our host Felix Mayer also deserves a big thank you for his outstanding hospitality," explains JRE President Oliver Röder ("Burg Flamersheim", Euskirchen). What makes the JRE Team Day so special is that employees from JRE companies come together to have a good time and get to know each other better. "Mutual exchange and friendly relationships are part of the Jeunes Restaurateurs' DNA. We already meet regularly as chefs - now we are extending this to our employees," says Röder.
The premiere was accompanied by an appropriate culinary programme by partners and JRE chefs, which participants were able to enjoy after a welcome champagne from Laurent-Perrier. Along with the welcome glass, guests were also presented with a raffle ticket, giving them the chance to win great prizes. In addition to Oliver Röder, Patrick Jenal ("Restaurant Kunz", St. Wendel), Adalbert Seebacher ("Kraftwerk", Oberursel), Phillipp Helzle ("BollAnts", Bad Sobernheim) and Alexander Wulf ("Troyka", Erkelenz) from the Jeunes Restaurateurs were on site to cook for the guests at the "Market of Delights". There were also food stations with highlights such as the chilli sausage from Büffel Bill prepared on the Ofyr Grill and stands from JRE partners Parmigiano Reggiano, R express, Hela Gewürze, Deutsche See, Frische Paradies and Julius Meinl. Non-alcoholic drinks were provided by Manufaktur Jörg Geier and the right wines by the wineries Markus Meier, Poss, Knauss, Disibodenberg, Höfflin, Nik Weis, Köbelin and, of course, Felix Mayer. The Ziegler distillery served cocktails.
Exciting master classes and a covered wagon ride
In addition to the "Market of Delights", there were several masterclasses from Original Beans and JRE partners Zwiesel, Maple Syrup from Canada, Deutsche See, Fritz-Kola and Hela Gewürzwerk. The employees were also able to take part in a leisurely covered wagon ride through the vineyards. "It was great to see how the employees exchanged ideas and networked across teams - something like this would not be possible without events like this," says Röder. "I would like to thank our member Patrick Jenal for the excellent organisation and all participants, partners and JRE members present for making this first edition of the JRE Team Day an unforgettable event."
