Restaurant review

Jean, Eltville

Hessen, Forum

"What takes centre stage is the consistent high quality of all dishes, where we would have to look for flaws with a magnifying glass."

Jean's Restaurant, Eltville

"The final coffee is accompanied by two well-made pralines with dark chocolate flavours and the conclusion that Jean's cooking is classic French but without excessive dogmatism. The food on offer is not innovative, but it doesn't want to be. What takes centre stage is the consistent high quality of all the dishes, where we would have to look for flaws with a magnifying glass. We should also praise the two ladies of the house, who expertly and charmingly guided us through the evening and the wine pairing. The latter, by the way, was unbeatable value for money." Eichhalde, Freiburg im Breisgau
