Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe under new management

ZWEIFLINGEN: With effect from 1 June 2024, Grand Metropolitan Hotel AG, based in Lucerne/Switzerland, has taken over the hotel operations of the 5-star superior Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe. The hotel will remain a Würth Group company and will continue to be managed in the spirit of the owner family. The hotel staff will continue to be employed by Panorama Hotel & Service GmbH. The new hotel manager is Swiss-born Rolf E. Brönnimann.

Brönnimann is a recognised hotelier who has managed numerous international luxury hotels and enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry. His outstanding host qualities and his passion for the hotel industry have been honoured with numerous awards. Brönnimann has a keen business sense and is highly valued for his ability to combine process optimisation and digitalisation in the luxury hotel industry. With this many years of expertise, the further development of the Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe is in the best hands. "I am looking forward to the new tasks at this exclusive location," says Brönnimann. "Strategically leading the multi-award-winning top hotel and resort into the future is a new challenge for me that is as varied as it is promising."

Decades of experience

Brönnimann began his career in the 1970s at the Lausanne Hotel Management School (EHL). He worked at the Grand Hotel Victoria Jungfrau, Interlaken, where he rose to the position of Vice Director. This was followed by positions as Managing Director at the Radisson SAS Palais Hotel, Vienna, the Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort, Lucerne, and the Budersand Hotel Golf & Spa on Sylt. He then worked as General Manager at the Savoy Hotel Baur en Ville and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cresta Palace Hotel Celerina. Mr Brönnimann has also been Managing Partner and President of SH Swiss Hospitality Group AG for more than 20 years.

The previous hotel director Jürgen Wegmann has left the Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe at his own request. The group of companies is very grateful to Mr Wegmann for the many years of trusting and successful cooperation.
