Restaurant review

Kettners' Kamota, Essen

Nordrhein-Westfalen, Forum

"The cuisine at "Kamota" is fun, because it is not only impeccably crafted and elaborate, but also skilfully combines Asian and above all Japanese influences, which is currently en vogue up and down the country, with Austrian elements."

Restaurant Kettners Kamota, Essen

"The cuisine at "Kamota" is fun because it is not only impeccable and elaborate, but also skilfully combines Asian and above all Japanese influences, which is currently en vogue up and down the country, with Austrian elements. Sometimes this only happens through the use of one or two typical ingredients, but sometimes it is more obvious, with dishes being interpreted in a completely new way, as with the fried chicken. In any case, this is a cuisine that is anything but boring, but the always attentive and cordial service also contributes to the great pleasure and even more so, of course, Jürgen Kettner, who as host wins over the guests with his inimitable and engaging charm. It worked for us too. And so all we can say is: See you soon and baba!" (Published in July 2024)

Eichhalde, Freiburg im Breisgau
