New patissier at the Villa Lalique
WINGEN-SUR-MODER. The two-star restaurant Villa René Lalique has a new head pastry chef, Jonathan Bunel, who has taken on the role. He succeeds Nicolas Multon, who has held the position since 2015.
Bunel worked at the Hotel Courcheneige in Courchevel, the Château de Rochecotte , with Guy Lassausaie and Jérôme Schilling before moving to the Villa René Lalique in 2016, where he became Nicolas Molton's deputy. He then moved to the restaurant Le Cerf in Marlenheim before returning to the Villa René Lalique. French pastry traditions, contemporary influences, seasonality and indulgence characterise the house's creations. Chef Paul Stradner commented on the appointment: "I would like to thank Nicolas warmly for the last 9 years of wonderful collaboration at the restaurant and wish him all the best. Today, I am also delighted to welcome Jonathan back to the team, who has already proven himself as sous chef of the pâtisserie for many years alongside Nicolas, who has passed on his philosophy and passion for patisserie.
