New F&B Manager at Hotel BEI SCHUMANN

Jens Pietzonka brings his award-winning experience as a sommelier and restaurateur to the luxury resort in Saxony.

KIRSCHAU: From 1 November 2024, Jens Pietzonka will take over the position of Food & Beverage Manager at the renowned 5-star Hotel BEI SCHUMANN. With his decades of experience in top gastronomy and his outstanding achievements in leading establishments on the German and international gastronomy scene, he will make a significant contribution to the further development of the culinary offering at Hotel BEI SCHUMANN.

Jens Pietzonka can look back on an impressive career that has taken him through some of the most renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in Germany. His stations include the Söl'ring Hof on Sylt (2 Michelin stars), the Bean & Beluga restaurant in Dresden (1 Michelin star) and the Villa Merton in Frankfurt, which has also been awarded a Michelin star. For the past nine years, Pietzonka has been the owner and managing director of Weinzentrale Dresden, where he has established himself as a permanent fixture in the wine and gastronomy scene.

Pietzonka's expertise as a sommelier has been recognised several times. Among other things, he has been named "Sommelier of the Year" three times. In 2018, he received the VDP Grape Eagle Sommelier. The trade press has also ranked him among the top 50 sommeliers in Germany for years and he has been the sommelier of the German Football Association (DFB) since 2022. His most recent honours include the title of "Wine Ambassador of the Year 2024", awarded by Der Feinschmecker.
